Bowling carpets have regularly been shipped to Hong Kong but at present they are being used as demonstration tools to encourage people to take up lawn bowls. No doubt many of the participants will have found the joys of Short Mat bowling and the sport (like elsewhere), will hopefully grow and take on its own identity as a sport in its own right. If the mainland Chinese would take up our sport then we really would be moving.
